Get ready for another exciting journey with your RITB running buddies!

For those of you who have just entered The Age Run Melbourne Half Marathon on Sunday, 15th July 2012, Running in the Burbs has put together a RITB Run Melbourne Half Marathon Training Program (DOWNLOAD) that you can use as a starting point to help achieve your 2012 running goal.

Running in the Burbs offers mid- to long-distance run-led group over distances of 5K / 10K and 15+K every Saturday morning, starting from  Madeline's Cafe (Melway ref 71 K7) at 8:15am.  To complement our 10-week HM training schedule, we are now offering additional training options on Monday and Wednesday evenings.  Monday evening training sessions will be progressive 8-16K group runs along well-lit footpaths in  the Vermont/ Forrest Hill/ Blackburn area starting from Aqualink Nunawading (Melway Ref 62 F3) at 6:30pm.  Wednesday evening training sessions will be held at Waverly Park (Melway Ref 80 J3) at 6:30pm.  These sessions are designed to develop your strength, stamina and speed.  All training sessions will be led by AV-accredited Level 2 recreational running coaches and cater for all abilities.  RITB run sessions will be available free of charge to all Annual Members (a $2 fee applies for Casual Members).

Runners planning to enter The Melbourne Marathon on Sunday, 15th October 2012 - our RITB marathon training campaign starts now!  The above Run Melbourne HM training program is designed to get you fit and ready to embark on the 2012 RITB Melbourne Marathon Training Program, which will kick off right after Run Melbourne.

We have created "Running in the Burbs" teams for The Age Run Melbourne and The Melbourne Marathon and invite you to join our group for distances from 10K right up to the full marathon.  To enter or find out more information, please go to www.runmelbourne.com.au or www.melbournemarathon.com.au websites.  Good luck with your training, and we'll see you on the big day!
